Boys' School

Student Councillors taking the lead and making a difference

This morning, our Boys’ School students gathered to acknowledge their 2022 Student Councillors. These students, who were presented badges at the Assembly, were voted by their peers to represent their class on the Council.

Every Friday, the 2022 Council Prefect Ashaan Cordwell, Rev Reuben Hardie and Mr Issac Williams will meet with the Council to discuss matters that are important around the school. The Council is responsible for compiling a list of charities that the school will support throughout the year and propose dates for Mufti Days to raise money for those in need.

Speaking at the assembly, Ashaan shared the role of the Student Council. Ashaan said, “At Saint Kentigern we know the value of Service.  It is something we should be striving for every day, at school, at home and in our wider community. This role is extremely important. The student Council is dedicated to serving all students.  Each one of us is available if you have any ideas that you think can benefit the school.  It is our responsibility to discuss ideas for the improvement of the school and to put them forward.”

Congratulations to all our Student Councillors. We look forward to their contribution around the school and in our community.
