For our Year 7 and Year 8 boys, the first day back to school this year was extra special. It was the first time they spent their entire school day in their brand new classrooms in the newly completed Macky Senior School.
With a total of 12 classrooms, our Year 7 boys occupies six classrooms on first floor while the Year 8 boys take the classrooms on the second floor. These classrooms are light-filled and spacious with decorative wall panels and acoustic ceilings fitted to minimise noise between rooms.
Each floor has ‘break out’ spaces to allow for both social interaction and collaborative work, with lockers conveniently located at the doorway.
The classrooms are also just a corridor away from the Specialist Facilities, enabling easy movement between classes for the boys when attending their Arts and Creative Technology lessons.
